From the Carribean 2 Coventry: Now Open

From the Carribean 2 Coventry: Now Open.

In the heart of London's cultural hub, the Barbican Music Library and Biff Bang Pow have joined forces to present "From the Caribbean to Coventry: Plotting the Rise of 2 Tone.", a brand new exhibition uncovering the story that celebrates the rise of 2 Tone.

The exhibition is a journey that starts in France and Belgium at the time of the Great War and ends in 1980's Coventry. It explores the hugely positive influences on British youth culture that Caribbean immigration has brought, and continues to bring to the United Kingdom. Using music genres and fashion as the touch points the show will include architecture, art and literature as well as direct contributions from fans and 'faces' alike.

The exhibition opened its doors on 12th January and is running to 25th May. Entry is free. Visit fromthecaribbean2coventry.co.uk to learn more or follow the official X account for the latest news and updates.
